Oh what a long week ahead. . .

Why is it that the week before you go on vacation is so long, and then the vacation goes so quickly?  I am trying to cheerfully get through this week.  Early and I do mean early Sunday morning we are heading to Daytona Beach for Bike Week.  This is my second time going.  I had so much fun seeing all the bikes, the warm weather, and the crazy people. I just had to go back for a second look.  I am also hoping to do a little stash shopping while I am there.  Speaking of stash shopping, on Friday I received my order from ABC Stitch. It was pretty quick.  I bought the new Blackbird book A Stitcher's Journal. It is a great project book and I have a good friend that stitched one of the models.  I am so proud of her, she is a beautiful stitcher with a heart of gold.  Well I'm off to gather things for my trip so I don't forget anything.

Happy Stitching until we meet again!

Lost and Found

Please help me!  If you find my stitching mojo could you please return it to me. I really would like to find it before I have to be in a car for 12 hours.  It will be a very long boring drive if I don't. I hope your mojo is safe and sound.

Happy stitching til we meet again,
Cindy

Stitching Group

I used to belong to a stitching group.  It was so much fun. We would get together once a month to snack and stitch and yap.  We took turns hosting.  We would pick a Sunday that worked for everyone of at least most and someone would volunteer to host.  It was a great way to bring friends and stitching together.  I don't belong to a group anymore but would love to find one again.  I encourage you to get together with your friends and try one.

On the stitching front not much going on. My stitching mojo seems to be on vacation, again.  But I am about to get a stash boost.  In case you didn't know the Nashville Needlework Market was last weekend, and I preordered a couple of things.  But yesterday I order all the new Shepherds Bush projects.  I know I really don't need it, but it was so cute I just had to have it.

Happy Stitching until we meet again!

A finish and snow!

I did not finish yesterday but I did today! YES! That is my second finish for the year. I normally have at least 4 by now. When you have no mojo that is what happens. I pulled the things for the next musing. This is number eight. Hopefully I can whip this one out over the weekend.
I said they were talking snow for today and it really did. I thought okay a dusting, nope we had two inches. I know some say that is nothing. Like I said before we aren't use to any.
On to other things...my husband and I have been planning a trip to Daytona Bike Week. We went last year. It was probably one of the most relaxing fun times I have ever had. No kids,(remember mine were 23 and 16 at the time) no worries about not seeing all family members and most of all no worrying about being anywhere at any special time. It was great. Last year there was a mix of boys and girls that we went with, and this I think I am going to be the only girl. I did consider not going hubby will help me find the cross stitch shop that is listed as being there. Don't tell hubby but that's the real reason I want to go.

Snow again?

Some out there may love the snow. I do enjoy a good snow day. But this year we have had more than our share. The problem is that here in the Tidewater area we only get snow maybe once a year, on a rare occasion we get two snow days. This year we first had some snow before Christmas, with a huge storm the day after Christmas, soon after that another. I think we have had enough snow for a while. If the snow misses our area on Thursday I will be just fine with that.
On the stitching side I lost my stitching mojo a little bit. But today I found it. I am almost had a finish tonight. Maybe tomorrow. If I get a chance I will try very hard to finish at lunch time. I even tried starting a new project thinking how we all love the thrill of a new start. When that didn't work I said to myself just finish already. So that is what I am going to do. I am finishing my project tomorrow!
So with that said I am off to bed, dreaming of finishing. Good Night!!

New to blogging!

Welcome to my new blog. I have never blogged before, so if you have tips I'm open and listening.
I love to cross stitch. Actually I love all kinds of crafts. I am currently working my way through the Monthly Musings by Shepherds Bush(one of my favorite designers). I have finished seven of them so far. If I can figure out to post pictures I will show you.
