It's another T.G.I.F.

Hi! Yes I am really saying THANK GOD ITS FRIDAY!  I have had a busy week not bad just busy.  Monday and Tuesday worked like a mad woman to clean up everything on my desk.  I think I did a pretty good job.  The only downer was I woke Monday with a little sore throat, Tuesday it was more sore, and finally on Wednesday it was on fire. Which meant on Thursday a trip to the doctor.  If you don't know me real well you may not know that three years a go I had the strep rash from head to toe.  So a sore throat to me sends me into a panic.  Yes, it really was that bad the meds to clear it up took a huge toll on me too.  But this time it was just a little throat infection.
Enough on the silly stuff on to the stitching stuff.  Last weekend my hubby and I spent some time up in Williamsburg.  We did a little outlet shopping and a little bike riding and of course I hit the cross stitch shop.
I like that shop.  The ladies are always so nice.  I did not find the things I was really looking for but I did find a few goodies. I should say we ate too.  I say this because I gained a pound.  I was not upset because like I said I ate. But on the good side I finished the Blackbird Design Seaside Retreat.  It looks pretty good now I just need to figure out if I'm going to frame it or not.  Probably frame it.  I did pick up another WIP it is not at all my favorite piece but I have seen it framed with a great mat, it's another Blackbird Design 'Peace on Earth'.  I think I keep picking it up because of the framed piece and I keep putting it down because it just doesn't do it for me.  Even if I don't finish it I am going to work on it a bit.  The more I work on it the closer it comes to the frame.  I will keep my promise to myself three finishs before a new start.  Believe me I have a few WIPs that can be finished.
My plans for the weekend were suppose to be working on a little garden behind my shed for some tomatoes.  But guess what my hubby has done it for me.  I am so happy about this a couple years ago I tried those topsy things and had NO tomatoes.  I know I can at least get a few this year.  I didn't like tomatoes for a long time then it clicked and I love fresh tomatoes.  I think my grandma would be proud.  So now I think my plans are going to be  . . . stitching of course!

Happy Tuesday!

I am happy to announce it is Tuesday.  It looks like Spring is here which of course means allergies are too.  So far so good they have only bothered me a little bit.  I had planned last weekend to be a finishing weekend but that did not happen.  I have put Tinkerbell in my blog but I have not put my little mob in yet.  Let's just say they really needed a hair cut before anyone could see them. That is why I did not get finishing done I groomed my babies.  So here they are.  Bonnie and Clyde and Bugsy. Mind you I am not trained in grooming dogs I just whip out the clippers and start taking off the hair, but hey at $50 a dog I had to do something.

On the Stitching side I have been working on Seaside Retreat by Blackbird.  I was further along but some unstitching was needed.  But my plans to finish it are coming along.  I will post a picture later this week.  I hope your Tuesday has been as good as mine.

Happy Stitching until we meet again. . .Cindy

So how was your week?

I would love to tell you how my week was but you really don't want to because a couple of days were just a black cloud for me. So let's move on to sunshine and happy times.  I finished Liberty tree by M designs on Thursday.(see pic) It's cute I think I might finish it like a small wall quilt.  I think the suggested way was a pillow but I really don't have a place for pillows. By the way it was the first of three before I let myself have a new start.  I am currently working on a Blackbird design. I started in 2009 but for whatever reason moved on to something else.  So I am wondering would you put 2009 on it or 2011?  Let me know what you think. Okay so now I should tell on myself I did a little Internet shopping this week.  I found the JABCO pin cushion so cute I had to have it, and while I was ordering I ordered the Shepherd Bushs Tiny Garden pin keep and yes one more thing the new mystery sampler by With Thy Needle.  I know, I know I need none of it.  but they are all very cute.
What are you stitching on?
Happy stitching until we meet again. . .Cindy

TGIF!

I have yet again had a long week.  How about you?  I seem to take care of one fire and then there's another.  Oh well this week is over. On to good stuff. . . I found my stitching mojo. (happy dancing)  I have been on a roll. I finished those last three pieces and not I just can't stop stitching.  Feeling guilty about starting yet another new project which we ALL love to do, I went through my UFOs.  I found some great starts and now I am wondering why I didn't finish them. I have pulled some out and I am going to finish them.  I made a deal with myself . . . if I finish three UFOs then I am allowed to start a new project.  But the new project is really calling my name and it is so annoying.  But I would like to get my UFOs under control so my want power needs to be strong.  I'm currently working on 'Liberty' by M designs.  It was in a magazine last year.  When I pulled it out the project I thought 'oh I just need to sew the buttons on'. Nope I had only just begun to stitch. The mind plays dirty tricks on us sometimes. I have not gotten very far but with my mojo in place it won't take too long to finish.

Finish

I just wanted to do a quick update on my latest finish. This is a freebie I downloaded from the Internet.  I'm sorry I don't remember where.

It was a heck of a week!

Happy Sunday to you!  My week was very long.  It seemed like one hurdle after another.  But on to the good stuff.  I have done well with the WW, I am even finding it hard to eat all of my points everyday.  You get extra points when you workout which I did 3 times this week and did not add them in.  I am feeling better then I have for a long time. Which means I have have been stitching.  This week I finished Tiny Garden Scissor fob and Lamb both by Shepherds Bush.  Today I hope to finish a freebie I found on the web somewhere, it has been so long I forgot where it came from. Look for a picture later this week.
