Random Acts of Kindess

I know stitchers call random acts of kindness RAK.  My hubby and I did two RAKs yesterday.  I first was some what selfish.  We went to Chilli's for dinner because part of our bill would go to our son's school, it was a win win kind of thing.  I didn't have to cook and it helped the school.  This led to the other RAK.  As we were walking to our car a young man asked if my hubby would help him jump start his car.  My hubby said yes(my hubby is very mechanical).  After a few trys my hubby tells the young man his battery is shot.  Lucky for him there is an Auto Zone about two blocks away.  I forgot to mention it was sprinkling by now.  We tell the young man to hop in and we would run him down there.  Surprised he hops in off we go.  We get back to his car and he said thanks.  You can leave, I can put it in.  My hubby said he wasn't leaving until he got his car started.  Which started right away with the new battery.  We found out he is in the military, his girlfriend is deployed and he's from Florida with no one to call to help him in the area.  I think Karma put us there to help him.  Because to be completely honest until I found out about helping the school I was planning something else for dinner.  Right place right time which if you know me that very rarely happens usually it's the wrong place wrong time.

Sorry this post contained no stitching, maybe tomorrow.

AH! September is here.

I know it's been a while sorry about that.  They say if you have nothing nice to say then say nothing at all.  So that is what I did.  I have been stitching on the pink snowman(woman).  I finished night before last.  I changed one of the colors, it was too close to the fabric color.  Now I am contemplating what to start next.  My goal lately has been to finish things I have already started.  I have been doing well with that, but we all know there is nothing like starting a brand new project.  With market just a few weeks ago the designers out did themselves by putting out some beautiful designs.  What do I do?  Any ideas? I'm thinking a  fall project.  September brings cooler mornings and earlier sunsets.  It really brings great designs.  I always love the fall designs the colors just pop right off the fabric and beg to be stitched. Email me let me know what you are stitching.

Until we meet again.... Cindy
