Please

Dear readers,

I am not a religious person. I do pray but I'm not big in preaching.  But today I must ask that anyone who prays to pray for my father in law.  He fell last Thursday and has been going down hill since.  They found a urinary infection by luck and his kidneys were not working like they should.  There is some damage but they are still of how much.  His Dementia has gotten worse and he spends time between sleeping and talking incoherently.

Since he moved in with us in May I have become very attached to him.  I see him in a new way then I ever did before.  My heart is breaking seeing him like this.  I would love to know he is going to come home with me but I don't think that is going to happen for a long time if ever.
 Sorry no stitching news:(

Happy Stitching and Thanks!

Santa's House

Hello!  Happy Sunday night!  Today is My son's 19th birthday.  I find it really hard to believe he is 19. First I really have a hard time thinking of him as sort of an adult.  Sometimes I still see him as a young boy playing in the dirt for the first time with holes in his jeans.  Happy Birthday!

I have had a few finishes so far.  I have shown you all but the latest one Santa's House by Country Cottage.  I started three times.  I just couldn't find the right fabric.  I finally did, meadow mist 40 count.  By using 40 count I won't be using the buttons but that's okay.  I think they will be cute without them. I have already started the second house but haven't gotten very far.  I have been preoccupied with FIL.  He took a fall on Thursday night and has had trouble with his knee.  The doctor says it is just a bad sprain and will take a few days to get better.

I'm off to continue working on the second house.

Happy Stitching!

P.S.  I know a couple of ladies that suffered the loss of furry child last Friday. I don't know if they read this or not but if they do I want to extend my deepest of sympathy.  I know she was a great pup and will be missed by all who knew her.

How does time fly so fast?

I can't believe it is already the middle of January.  It seems like just yesterday we were getting ready for Christmas.  How is your New Year's stitching going?  Mine is okay.  I am not at as far along as I would like.  I would like to have finished the first house of Country Cottage's Santa Village.  I have started it for the third time.  I just could not seem to find fabric I liked it on.  I am about half way on it now.  I am stitching it on meadow mist.  I have not picked a New Year project, I wanted to. I just could not decide on one. So I'm not going to pick just one.  I have kitted up a few projects.  There are a few Lizzie Kate's I would like to stitch, of course Shepherd's Bush, and some Blackbird Designs.  There is the Santa's Village too.  I hope to complete some other projects as well.  My Dad has ask me to make a quilt for a friend of his.  I'm a little nervous about it.  I don't want to let my dad down.  I'm a good stitcher but just an okay quilter.  I quilt because I like it.

Happy Stitching!  Cindy

Happy New Year!

Hi! Happy New Year!

I just wanted to stop by and post my first two finishes for 2013.
Jingle needle book by Shepherd's Bush and Believe bag by Shepherd's Bush.
I hope your New Year's Eve was fun and safe. I spent mine watching movies with most of my family, my daughter spent it with her hubby:).  Truth be known I did not make it to midnight.  I think I made it to about eleven thirty.  I got up this morning and started stitching.  I also spent some much needed stitching time with some friends.  I finished both of my finishes this afternoon.  I hope you also have many finishes this year.

Happy stitching!
