End of 2012

I sat down today and looked back on this past year, I think it was a pretty good year.  At the beginning of this year I set out to accomplish six goals.  One to talk and be positive, I think I have done that. Two was to have a better self esteem I think I have done that.  Third was to eat healthier I have done that. Four was to finish projects done that. Five was to set aside a weekend a month to finish projects, sadly I have not done this.  Ans six was a big one to lose weight and I am very happy to say I really have done this, 100 pounds.  I have had a banner year.  My son graduated, my daughter got married, I quit my job, my father in law moved in with us and my father mended the broken lines between us.  A few years ago I thought I had had the worst year ever, I was sick all the time, I had four surgeries, in the hospital five time and many other bad crap happened.  That was a really bad year, this year was a great year.  I know things have happened in the world that make it not a great year for many but for me it was great.  I really hope next year is equally as great.  I really do thank God for the things in my life.

Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!

Happy stitching!

Finishes?

I know a lot of stitchers plan a New Year start, do you? If so what is it?  I was wondering do you set a goal as to how many finishes you do a year?  If so how many?  I am planning out some projects for next year.  I am also trying to decide what New Year start I want to do.  I have so many I want to do its hard to decide.

It's here!

It's here finally!  I'm very excited.  My Santa's Village has arrived.  It arrived last yesterday afternoon.  It came with friends, the fabric and button.  The shop also sent a free chart for Christmas stitching.  I like it to it's called Christmas Coffee 2012 by Plum Street Samplers.  I know just who I'm going to stitch it for, actually I know several I could stitch this for.  I'm off to start my village.

Addicted!

Good morning!  I need to take the first steps of recovery but I really don't want to recover.  I AM ADDICTED to CROSS STITCH!  I have really got a problem!  I am kitting up projects for 2013.  I am searching for patterns to complete series and I just can't seem to get enough.  Please tell me I am not the only one.  Understand I am not looking for recovery just looking for stash, no I'm just kidding.  Well sort of.  I just amazed that after stitching for 33 years I am still as crazy about it as when I first started.  Cross stitch is the only thing I can think of that has always been in my life.  Especially lately.  I have given up on soda, I LOVED Pepsi, I have given up bread, another love, and sugar of any kind, yes I do sometimes use fake sugar.  So maybe you can understand how amazing this is for me to realize.  After all I have changed over the years, especially this year, cross stitch is the one constant, even when I lose my stitching mojo I still plunder through my stash looking for it.
How about you, are you addicted to something?

I have finished a few Christmas things I will show pictures after I give them away.  Are you stitching for the Holidays?

Happy Stitching!
